Call of Duty Blamed for Russian Airport Terrorist Attack

Blaming videogames is the easiest thing someone could do whenever an act of violence happens. So this should come as no surprise. Modern Warfare 2 already had a lot of controversy with the optional level, No Russian, and the bombing in Russia is being connected to it.

The “No Russian” mission has you play as an undercover agent working in a terrorist group that’s going to open fire on civilians in an airport. Russian News Channel RT tied the bombing, that killed 35, to Modern Warfare 2’s optional level.

“With so many seemingly downloading, watching, and playing this game, you have to consider that this bloodbath would ever-so-closely resemble reality,” said reporter Lauren Lyster before eliciting similar quotes from others.
