T-Mobile Dell Streak 7 Pricing Info Leak Dismissed as Technical Error

January 21, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

A few hours ago the web had been abuzz with details of a leak that brought to the fore the pricing details of the T-Mobile Dell Streak 7.  When every one had been waiting in anticipation to pick the tablet for a cool $330, here comes T-Mobile’s clarification. The carrier has dismissed the leak saying that the information is incorrect and a result of a technical error.

For those who came in late, the leaked info had hinted at the possible availability of the T-Mobile Dell Streak 7 for $330, on contract. That would have made it cheaper than the existing Samsung Galaxy Tab which sells for $350.

T-Mobile is not happy about the leak, whatsoever. The leak is now dismissed as just Equipment Installment plan information that was spotted at the bottom of the 7-inch tablet’s information page. This, the company clarifies as technical error.

The Streak 7 was unveiled at the CES 2011 that was organized at Las Vegas in the beginning of this month. The tablet shown then boasted of a WVGA capacitive touchscreen, Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and support for T-Mobile USA’s HSPA+ network.

Though T-Mobile dismisses the info on pricing, the company has not yet given us a correct pricing or at least what the approximate amount would be. This in fact makes us think in terms of a $330 price or something close to that. We hope T-Mobile will tell us more on that.
