January 18, 2011, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

It’s been quite a while since we started waiting for the Dell Streak to arrive on T-Mobile.  The latest information that has trickled down from the T-Mobile stables in the form of a leak almost confirms that the carrier will be launching the Dell Streak 7 Android tablet on Groundhog Day – that is February 2nd.

The leak has its origin from a materials-placement guide supposedly mailed to a retailer. Guys at TMO News got hold of the document (pictured below) and the release details just spilled on to the web. The leak  gives us reason to believe that the February 2nd sate could be true.

As you all know, the Dell Streak 7 had been in the news for being T-Mobile’s first HSPA+ tablet offering. The Android 2.2 Froyo-laden tablet had come under the arc lights at Vegas when the CES 2011 was on.

The device that was shown, at CES, as hiding a dual-core Tegra 2 processor under its hood, was a charmer of a tablet complete with a 7-inch WVGA Gorilla Glass display and HSPA+ 4G compatibility. Full Adobe Flash Player 10.1 support has also been incorporated.

The first 4G tablet  on T-Mobile will also be capable of delivering peak download speeds of up to 21 Mbps – that’s what we heard at the CES venue. That speeds would also mean that a truly broadband kind of offering that would let you watch movies and also other preloaded content with no hassle whatsoever.

Further, the Android Market would also bring to the Dell Streak 7 user thousands of widgets, games and applications

With the February 2nd date not so far away, it seems like our wait is coming to an end. By the way, are you buying the Dell Streak 7?
