January 7, 2011, By Aneej Jayan

ViewSonic has come out with a new addition into the Smartphone industry, the ViewSonic ViewPad 4. The company has crafted this device with all the features that are expected in a Smartphone and they have also brought a refreshed version of the Viewpad 10 tablet, the ViewPad 10S.

Both the devices feature the Android 2.2 Froyo onboard and the company will be announcing the details about pricing and availability by the end of this quarter.

The ViewPad 4 features a 4.1-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display and is powered by the Qualcomm MSM 8255 1GHz processor. It has GPS functionality and extends support for Flash 10.1. It also has Bluetooth 2.1 and 802.11b/g Wi-Fi capabilities.

The 5MP auto-focus camera at the rear is capable of recording 720p HD videos and it also has a front facing camera that enables video chat.

ViewSonic’s ViewPad 10S is actually much different from the existing ViewPad 10. The 10S is coming with 3G capabilities that is absent in the ViewPad 10.

The Viewpad 10 featured dual-boot configuration but the new ViewPad 10S is purely an Android based device. 10S is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra 250 Cortex-A9 1GHz processor instead of the Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz chip of the ViewPad 10.

It has a 1024×600 LCD display and it is gives a little disappointment for the customers as it has only a 1.3MP camera.
