Toshiba has unveiled several new notebooks that are new additions to its popular Satellite and Qosmio families. The newly unveiled Satellite notebooks include the Satellite E305, the A660, the M640, and the L650. The other notebook series, the Qosmio X505, is meant for gaming or entertainment.

The Satellite E305 is one of the many new laptops that are based on Intel’s second-generation Core i5 processor.

The new machine comes equipped with a 14-inch display and chiclet keyboard. Both the keyboard and the display integrate LED backlighting, and the back of the screen is protected by an aluminum cover.

The notebook also has a USB 3.0 port, a WiMAX modem, Intel’s wireless display technology, and a hybrid drive that pairs a 500GB disc with 4GB of flash memory.

The A660 has a 15.6-inch display and comes with NVIDIA discrete graphics and Core i3 or i5 CPUs. The 14-inch M640 sports a Core i5 processor. With the L650, you will be getting a 15.6-inch display, 640GB hard drive, 4GB of RAM, and you will be able to choose from a variety of color options.

The basic Satellite notebooks will be having a price tag starting at $685.

The 18.4-inch Qosmio X505 will have Core i5 or i7 processors, and NVIDIA discrete graphics with 1.5GB of dedicated memory. The display is capable of displaying 3D content.

The X505 Series will be available in packages with price tags as low as $1,299. Most of the new laptops are scheduled to arrive sometime next month, but the E305 is expected to arrive later in the spring.
