Haier Wi-Fi HDTVs with Yahoo! Connected TV Service Rolled Out

Haier has come out with its new line-up of Internet enabled HD televisions that are Wi-Fi equipped. This new television will now help the users to wirelessly stream movies, music, and entertainment from one source and LED screen is said to offer a deep and rich output.

Yahoo! Connected TV is announced as the new content partner for these HDTVs and it will be offering access for the users to whole lot of content that includes more than 50,000 TV shows and movies on demand and thousands of internet content sources-specifically created for TV.

TV apps from many top internet brands is featured with the Yahoo! Connected TV service and the list include Amazon VOD, Blockbuster VOD, Facebook, Twitter, CBS, Showtime, NBC, eBay, USA Today Sports, YouTube, Pandora internet radio, Yahoo! News, Yahoo! Weather, Yahoo! Sports, Yahoo! Finance, Yahoo! Video, and Flickr.

Yahoo! Connected TV’s new broadcast interactivity feature will also demonstrated by Haier at the CES and this feature will enable the viewers to engage and interact with the broadcast programming. For example, they’ll be able to vote for a reality TV participant or make e-commerce purchases clothes, music etc.

The new Haier TV is having Wi-Fi capabilities and it will also offer access to Hulu Plus, Blockbuster on Demand, Film Fresh, and Netflix. These HDTVs are expected to get remotes that will feature a dedicated Netflix button.

At the moment the company has not given any words on pricing and the availability of their product, but we are expecting the company to let it out soon.
