Dell Alienware M17x & XPS 17 Getting 3D HD Display & Sandy Bridge Processors

Dell is taking their high-end Alienware M17x and the XPS 17 laptops to new heights by announcing that the devices are being upgraded with full HD 3D screens and better processors.

In a press release the other day, the company has said that they’re venturing into a whole new universe with immersive, 3D and high-definition sound experience. Both machines are getting a new 1080p WideFHD WLED LCD displays with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with new next-gen Intel Core i7 processors (Sandy Bridge) and a booming JBL sound (which btw comes with an integrated subwoofer).

Precisely, the new Dell XPS17 will come bundled with the new NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M and should also feature NVIDIA’s 3DTV Play software that allows users to easily connect to a compatible 3D HDTV and play or watch in stereoscopic 3D. On the other hand the Alienware M17X is touted as havign “today’s most realistic gaming and mind-blowing 3D Blu-ray movie experiences”.

Prices will go North of $1,499 starting January 10th for the XPS17, and February 1st for the 3D-capable M17X.
