We have great news for our Canadian readers who were anxious to know whether the newly announced Motorola ATRIX Android smartphone will be launched in Canada. We have proof that the device will be exclusively launched by Bell Mobility in the country.

The Motorola ATRIX, which runs Android 2.2 Froyo, comes with MOTOBLUR UI, and has a dual-core 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 SoC processor along with 1GB of RAM. The device sports a 4-inch display that supports qHD display resolution of 960×540 pixels.

The 5 megapixel camera with LED Flash on the back of the device is capable of recording 720p HD video. You will also get a front-facing VGA camera aimed at video chats.

There is also WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Flash Player 10.1 support, along with a 1930 mAh lithium cell battery pack that offers a talk time of up to 9 hours.

And you will be happy to know that you can hook up the device to a notebook with a super-slim laptop dock.

But the only disappointment is that the device, which will be launched “soon”, won’t have that 4G tag at the end of its name.

Check out the device in action in the video below.
