Verizon HTC ThunderBolt and AT&T Inspire 4G confirmed by Rolling Stone ad

January 5, 2011, By Alex Ion

A full page ad in the RollingStone magazine features the HTC ThunderBolt for Verizon (HTC’s first LTE mobile for Big Red) and Inspire 4G for AT&T, confirming that both smartphone will be released sometime very soon.

From what we know, HTC ThunderBolt is what we used to call the Droid Incredible HD or the HTC Mecha — if you remember. The phone is said to feature a capacitive 4.3-inch display, an 8MP camera with flash that shoots HD, along with an integrated camera at the front for video calls. Add to the whole deal the fact it will be amongst the fastest smartphones around and the HTC Thunderbold sounds like a winner already.

On the other hand, the Inspire 4G for AT&T is not “very” 4G if you know what we’re talking about. That’s because AT&T, juts like T-Mobile, don’t have any LTE networks right now. So you’re stuck with HSPA+ — which doesn’t mean you’ll be surfing at 4G speeds.

Both mobiles are expected to debut this week at CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Stay tuned and we’ll update you as soon as we have more info.
