Motorola Olympus on AT&T to be unveiled at CES 2011: Will Gingerbread help improve Motorola’s Sales?

December 31, 2010, By Shawn Wagnon

There are not too many people out there who look at Motorola in a positive light at the moment. It seems that the ‘Hello Moto’ thing has passed away a long time ago. Yet, some believe that there is still some life in there somewhere and the Motorola Olympus will be an important handset for the company. Rumored to be sporting a 4-inch touchscreen and Gingerbread on the inside, the Olympus is a mobile that Motorola has plenty of hopes pinned on.

And it will not be long before Motorola finds out how well it is received by the people world over. News is that the Olympus will make its debut at CES in a week’s time and the mobile is all set to go exclusively to AT&T. This is probably the very first time Motorola has taken a ‘flagship handset’ to a carrier outside Verizon Wireless. That is what makes the entire Olympus unveiling all the more exciting.

On the inside will also be a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor and whether this will mean we can finally have a Motorola Smartphone with seamless UI will be question that we would love to know the answer to. So another 7 days and CES should see the Olympus out in the open…
