Apple iPad Panel Orders for 2011 Reach 65 Million Units

If any of you think Apple has less ambitious dreams about its iPad in the coming year, the emerging info tells another story. It appears that Apple is all set to make a market reap in the coming year also, with more than 50 million iPad panels to be ordered from its component suppliers.

Among the component suppliers for Apple, LG is expected to clinch a major share in these iPad panel orders for the year 2011 with orders for almost 35 million units.

LG has been on top of the iPad panel supply, last month also. The figures released so far shows that LG Display has shipped 1.5 million units of 9.7 inch iPad panels for Apple in November.

Samsung Electronics has added 1.2 million units of iPad panels to this figure in the same period.

Other available data shows that Apple will be ordering an additional 30 million iPad panels for the year 2011 from Samsung and Chimei Innolux also, putting the order for 15 million units from each.

These figures shows that the iPad panel orders for both first generation and second generation iPad devices will put together to a staggering 65 million, instead of the expected 45-48 million units for 2011.

Well, so it seems Apple is more optimistic about the market potential of the iPad devices, more than many of the market analysts.
