Hyundai Veloster Sport Coupe Gears up for 2011 Detroit Auto Show; Teaser Video Shown

December 24, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We are just over two week’s away from the opening of the 2011 Detroit Auto Show, and Hyundai Veloster could be one among the many mean machines that could drive into the podium. The new sports coupe from the Korean major’s assembly line has given us a sneak peek of how it would look like by way of a teaser.

The company has in fact attempted a subtle but intriguing approach while making the teaser and refuses to give away much. Though the teaser video and the image don’t reveal much about the Veloster, what we see is enough to guess what the car would be like.

From what we guess, the Hyundai Veloster could bring itself to a platform where it will sell cheaper than the earlier Genesis coupe. Also, we think the car will offer better fuel economy but more fuel efficient as well.

The car follows close on the heels of the 2011 Elantra that had its wraps lifted just a few days ago. The bunch of sexy blue LED lights give us an idea what kind of an audience the Veloster will seek.

If you would remember, the Veloster was shown in concept form some time back when the 2007 Seoul Motor Show got underway. The production version could come with all that was in the concept, may be more.

So that means that the Detroit unveiling will mark the production version Hyundai Veloster’s world debut in a big way.

We guess we should leave the teaser video for you to judge. Here goes.
