Apple iPad 2 to Carry Rear-Facing Camera As Well; Wide Range Speaker Too Hinted At
Info on the next generation iPad from Apple has been doing the rounds for quite a while now, and it seems like new details are emerging every passing day. The grapevine has it that the device – nicknamed iPad 2 – will come sporting a smaller bezel than the existing iPad.
Further, we also get to stumble upon a new feature that throws open before us a flatter back panel and a wide range speaker. No doubt, the upcoming device is to come as a feature rich slate going by the specs now being hinted at.
What we like most is the inclusion of a rear facing camera in the device. If you would remember, the last time we told you about iPad 2, it was said that the device will have a front facing video camera to make use of Apple’s FaceTime video chat. Now with a rear facing camera included as well, it seems Apple is bringing in the best.
The device is said to come with a display similar to the original iPad, may be a three millimeters smaller than the first generation device. May be this is Apple’s way of answering critics who had lambasted the earlier 242.8 x 189.7 mm size of the earlier version.
With Apple already having done enough and more research on how to make a tablet, the iPad 2 will incorporate all that it missed while making the first one.
More details are expected to come in, with a January launch date now being talked about. Watch this space.
