$25 Billion Spent on Videogames This Year

The Market research firm NewZoo published a report discussing the United States’  videogame sales for this year. It’s not surprising to see what has become a trend in the industry after seeing these numbers.

During this years spending on gaming software fell two percent bringing it to 24.7 million, which is still exceptional.Consoles and PC/Mac Software did considerably worse falling 29 and 19 percent.

Above is a pie chart showing the sales that occurred this year. A lot of categories like MMO and downloadable games had a substantial sales boost and will only continue to go higher with the growing popularity of downloadable games.
