Vizio XVT3D650SV 65-inch 3D TV Starts Shipping

December 17, 2010, By Leo Xavier

Vizio has started shipping its XVT3D650SV 65-inch 3D TV, which is the company’s largest 3D-capable TV. The new TV has been listed at the Vizio website where it is having a price tag of $3,700. But it is expected that it will likely be priced at $3,500 eventually.

The new TV features Edge Lit Razor LED backlighting with Smart Dimming, 120 Hz refresh rate, 1080p Full HD and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. This superb HDTV also renders both 2D and 3D with amazing clarity, color and contrast.

You will also be able to experience immersive virtual HD surround sound with SRS TruSurround HD and SRS TruVolume.

The XVT3D650SV uses passive 3D glasses instead of active shutters. As you might know passive 3D glasses do not produce flicker-based eyestrain and don’t use batteries like active shutters, although they aren’t as advanced as active shutters.

The passive 3D glasses are also cheap enough to produce, and therefore Vizio is bundling four pairs into the box.

The XVT3D650SV also comes with built-in 802.11n WiFi and Internet app support such as Netflix and Vudu, and with five HDMI ports you will be able to attach several modern home theater devices.

It is expected that the TV will be available before the end of the month at the company’s online store as well as some retailers.

You can check out the Vizio website for knowing more about this new TV.
