HTC HD7 Pro Images Surface; Heads for Sprint in the US

Images of the upcoming HTC HD7 Pro smartphone have surfaced. The device, which will be one of the first Windows Phone 7 CDMA devices, will be released on Sprint’s network in the near future.

The newly surfaced images have been taken from HTC promotional materials. But unfortunately, the detailed specs list of the device is not available at the moment.

The device will most likely be similar in specification to the HTC HD7. The HD7 WP7 handset that has already launched on T-Mobile comes equipped with a 1GHz processor, 16GB built-in memory, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and is 3G capable. The device also features a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash, and a 4.3 inch display.

But the HD7 Pro will have the slide out, flip-up keyboard.

The device’s design closely mirrors that of the prior-generation Touch Pro 2. It will resemble the difference between Touch Pro and Touch Diamond in the Windows Mobile 6 era.

It is expected that the device will hit Verizon Wireless after an exclusivity period with Sprint.

In the European markets, the HD7 Pro will be sold as a GSM/UMTS smartphone, and the variant might later be launched on AT&T and T-Mobile.
