Dell Venue Pro Fresh Variant Hits FCC; Will We Really Get to See it?

December 17, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We just stumbled upon something on the FCC list, and going by what we see it’s a new Dell Venue Pro variant. It seems like Dell has spruced up the new variant with capabilities that boast of WCDMA Band II and V support.  That could further mean that the new Venue Pro variant would soon hop on to the 3G networks of AT&T in the US.

It may not be just the AT&T network it will be seen. Info suggests that the 3G device will be seen on Rogers, Bell or Telus most probably. The new variant will be one sought-after device, following the already announced Windows Phone 7 version on T-Mobile.

Remember, we told you that those who had first placed a pre-order for the device are being sent a free Plantronics Explorer 420 Bluetooth headset too. That’s a different story.

Now with the FCC gates open for the new variant headed for AT&T customers are in for good times. But then, we think we should also tell you that the device will get real for sure only if Dell wants it to. We have apprehensions because that Dell has earlier decided to stall release of a product even after passing the device through FCC.

We will get you more on the device soon. Stay tuned.
