Samsung Galaxy Tab & Vibrant now Cheaper on T-Mobile

December 15, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

T-Mobile has dropped the prices of their Samsung’s Android devices and the move seems to be bit surprising as it is unusually early. With the reduced price-tag, the Samsung Galaxy Tab on T-Mobile will be the least expensive of any US carrier when attached to a contract.

T-Mobile will now sell the Galaxy Tab for $350, and it is coming after a $50 reduction on the actual price. On similar terms, the Samsung Vibrant comes with a price-tag of $150.

Other price cuts include the price of Huawei-made T-Mobile Comet coming down to $180 off-contract.

Vibrant remains to be still the network’s premier Smartphone and the reasons behind the surprising move of the company are unknown.  T-Mobile hopes take advantage with the price cut during this festival season as other carriers have not yet come up with any change in the prices.

The early price cut may be an indication of slow sales, but not in all the cases. But when there is a furious competition in the market these price cuts are aimed at drawing more customers towards the product.

All the companies expect bulk sales during this festival season and with the early discount offerings, T-Mobile is hopefully to be benefited in the markets with better sales.
