Gmail Delegation Now Possible; Let Someone Else Too Manage Your Mails

December 15, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

This is interesting! Whenever you hear about a new Gmail feature, we know you tend to take it in your stride. We know this is because Google has been frequently bringing in fresh and welcome additions to the way you email friends and office.  If you are among those who love Gmail, the just revealed feature has all in it to make you dance!

It’s called Gmail Delegation and  it allows you to share your inbox with anyone you choose. How about that? The person you delegate will be able to view messages, respond to them and forward messages too.

Don’t worry about your password, as it will only be you who will have the right to change the password.  Settings also will remain in your full control.

The new feature will also let you view two accounts at once. Further, you will also be able to switch between them simultaneously. Googe Apps had this feature for quite a while now, and now it has been brought on to Gmail too. We know you have switched on to smiling mode.

All you need to do to be part of this new service is to go to settings  and add another email account under Accounts tab and click Grant Access To Your Account.

Let us know what you think about this. More details here.
