Pantech has been known for making mobile phones available for really low and affordable prices. Now the company has introduced a new phone to their product line-up. They call the new phone as the Pantech P8000 and it is expected to be running on the Google Android OS.

Incorporation of the Android OS is probably an expected move by the company due to the booming demand for Android devices. And when from Pantech we can definitely expect a budget-friendly mobile phone with the Android OS.

Although the Android incorporation has been confirmed, we are not sure about which version of the iconic OS is going to make it into the device.

The proposed device has gone through the FCC and the Bluetooth SIG (Special Interest Group). This new Smartphone is expected to be available on AT&T. Pantech is far behind the fellow Korean manufacturers Samsung and LG and it hopes to gain recognition in the US market with this low-cost Android Smartphone.

The device is said to be codenamed as ‘Moon’ and as heading to AT&T so they may bear 850 and 1900 MHz cellular bands. Although it is said to be a budget phone, there are no reports regarding the price of the device. The company is also silent about other features including the processor and screen size.
