Google Latitude becomes official on iTunes App Store: Tracking technology supposed to work for iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and other iOS 4 devices

The launch of Google Latitude last week did not go all that well and with the few issues sorted out in the last few days the app has finally made its way onto the iTunes App Store and this time it works for good. Now, for those who are waiting to see how many more of Google’s apps will be approved and allowed by Phil Schiller, let’s just say we are not going to hold our breath on that!

After the launch that did not take off last week and turned out to be a false start, this time around all iOS 4 users can download the Google Latitude app onto their Apple devices. But apparently you cannot run it on iPhone 3GS (It says that you can run it on iPhone 3GS as well, but we are hearing murmurs on the contrary) and if that is true it probably takes away plenty of those who want to but the app from the iTunes store.

So in case you desperately need to track someone down using your iPhone or are into the whole ‘stalking’ business with modern technology as an aid, this should make your iPhone a real handy tool indeed! So are you going to use Google Latitude?
