Samsung Gloria 10-inch Windows 7 Tablet Likely to Debut by March-April 2011

Those who by now own the Samsung Galaxy Tab will know what the company has given them. And, many would swear by it would definitely be looking forward to owning more of Samsung’s devices. As if realizing that, Samsung is expanding its Tablet range with new additions. When we say additions, we mean some awesome ones!

The upcoming device is to be called Gloria and would come with Windows 7 capabilities.  Complete with a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard, the device would be Samsung’s serious try at a Windows 7 Tablet device.

We shouldn’t say this is the first ever Samsung Windows tablet as the company had earlier been part of Microsoft’s UMPC project and had pushed out of its labs the Samsung Q1  and another QWERTY thumb-board sporting touchscreen device called the Samsung Q1U.

Further, the 10-inch touchscreen and the custom UI layer developed in house would give the Gloria a design as is shown in the picture alongside. Mind you, the image is just a mock up and not the real device that is in the works at Samsung.

We get hints of the device from the guys at Blogee who say they have managed to get info on the  Samsung device being readied for a 2011 launch.

Going by what we hear, we guess we should seriously anticipate a device that will take off from the Galaxy Tab in terms of design and performance. Stay tuned for more.
