Orange iPad to Sell for £199 in the UK this Christmas

December 3, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Orange’s latest offering during this Christmas seems to be a fascinating one as it has offered the iconic Apple iPad at a price less than even the half the actual price. The move of the company is aimed at dominating the market during this season of thick sales.

The phone giant has started to offer the iPad 16GB WiFi + 3G model at a price-tag of £199 for the customers who had previously registered. They are also offering the 32GB model for £249 and the 64GB version for £349.

These special prices, when compared with the actual price of these objects on the Apple’s website, seem enough to attract many customers towards this tablet computer during this festive season.

On the Apple website, the 16GB iPad with WiFi + 3G costs £529; 32GB and 64GB models cost £599 and £699 respectively.

Orange is offering these special prices at a contract of 24 months for 3G data. As per the contract it will be £25 per month that the existing Orange customer will have to pay and the new users will be charged £27 per month.

Orange’s offering has added to the competition in the market and it seems the rivals are getting prepared to join the race. T-Mobile has  started to offer special subsidized prices for the device as the it is considered  a must have gadget among the gizmo freaks.
