Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone Spotted on Video; May Arrive Sporting Zeus Name

December 2, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Remember we told you about Sony Ericsson’s upcoming PlayStation Phone some time ago? Now, we have chanced upon a video of the much-anticipated device. The video makes us look forward to seeing a live demo very soon. Going by what we hear, the device shown in the video is one which has been picked up by a blogger and translated into video for you to see.

Apart from just putting in from of the camera, the lucky blogger who got to play with the Sony Ericsson PlayStation Phone has also shared a few details as to what all come with it.  We know pictures of the phone have already been tasted by most of you here.

Running Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, the device sports a 4-inch touchscreen, a dedicated game store, an 8-megapixel camera. These apart it has a bunch of special PlayStation-themed live wallpapers too.

Complete with a touch-sensitive control surface on the slider, the phone will offer access to the PlayStation store so that you get to download games easily.

Going by the video, it seems like Sony Ericsson is still bent of calling it the Zeus, as had been reported earlier many a time. However, Sony Ericsson could bring in the device to the market branding the PlayStation Phone as Sony Ericsson Z1. We are yet to get a confirmation on that front.

Stay with us while we go hunting for more on that. In the meanwhile, here’s the video that features the device. Tell us your thoughts on that.
