Microsoft Responds to Halo: Combat Evolved Remake Rumor

December 2, 2010, By Christian Davis

Still considered the best of the franchise, Halo: Combat Evolved has been rumored to have a remake for some time now. Having Bungie’s first Halo title, with the graphic’s of Halo: Reach and online multiplayer would definitely be a dream come true for many gamers out there.

Microsoft responded to this with a short, heartbreaking phrase:

“Right now our focus is on supporting Halo: Reach. We have nothing to announce at this time.”

Makes sense that they’re working on their latest title, but you know they’re at least discussing the remake as a possibility. The UK Xbox head, Stephen McGill, even stated that he’d like to see this happen.

“I imagine it’s a good idea. I think some people want to go back to older games and see them revisited and I think a lot of developers want to see that too.”

Not only the developers, but the gamers do too. Maybe at the upcoming Videogame Awards we’ll hear something about this.
