Winamp 5.6 & Winamp for Android Beta Rolled Out

Winamp has just released its 5.6 version and Winamp for Android beta. The new beta version allows you to import your iTunes library to Android device running Android 2.1 or above.

The new features of Winamp 5.6 include a new device management interface. This supports wireless syncing of media and easily managing multiple connected devices. It also offers faster encoding and media transfer even through Wi-Fi connections. Winamp 5.6 can stream media remotely from a connected device without it being transferred to the local library.

The beta version of Winamp for Android device also enables Wi-Fi sync. The 0.9.2 beta version offers access to over 40000 internal radio stations. The new version comes with a new Android widget in addition to the standard one with which you can add your playlists to home screen and can control them from the lock-screen.

The beta version is loaded with better player controls that allow users to quickly pause and change tracks easily. The queue management options along with the update, enables changing the order the tracks are to be played in your device. It has support to a range of languages. They are about to add more language support soon.
