Details emerging about a mysterious press event in France to be conducted on December 9th hint at a  launch ceremony for a much-awaited gaming-phone gear from Sony Ericsson. The PlayStation Phone from Sony Ericsson had made a surprise appearance through leaked pictures some weeks ago, but this time, it seems a real official launch.

Touted to be the most anticipated event in the past 10 year, the invitation shows prominent PlayStation icons along with a Phone icon which makes it a possible launch event.

Hosted by Pierre Perron- the DG of Sony Ericsson France, the event is expected to unveil some hot news about PSP device or say a new device from Sony.

The device with a bunch of earlier leaked info seems to run a 1 GHz processor, with a landscape format touch screen which can be slide-out.

The 512 MB RAM device has dedicated gaming controls to make it a complete mobile console. Access to Sony Marketplace can help you buy any game you desired to play even when you are on the move.

Rumored to be running Android platform, it features a rear cam and is expected to bundle the usual features of an average smartphone.

Well, if the invitation, which is almost confirmed not a fake, points at a real launch event for the PSP device from Sony, we will be getting back to you with the pricing details and the still unknown specs. Till then, stay tuned.
