Sony Bravia Postcard Application Gets Updated With Photo Sharing Support

November 22, 2010, By Atul Roach

Sony is desperate to blur the line between your flat screen TVs and the computers as it is looking to empower its Bravia lineage of TVs with very computer-centric applications. Bravia lineage is already blessed with Bravia Postcard app and now Sony has gone ahead and promised that these TVs will soon be receiving an update to this particular app.

Postcard app will get upgraded with photo sharing support by the end of this month. This addition will add support for Sony’s Life-X online photo-storage and sharing service. Bravia owners will not just be able to view photos and slideshows uploaded to Life-X, they will also be be able to comment on their friends’ photo albums and send photo postcards to other Bravia TV sets.

This sounds like a great addition for the Bravia lineage owners, but as always the picture isn’t that rosy. Sony has specified that this upgrade will only be available to Bravia models bought after 2010, so please be sure about your model type before you get too excited.
