Motorola Droid Pro now Officially Available at Verizon Stores

November 18, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

We are dropping in just to remind you about an almost forgotten fact regarding the official launch of the Motorola Droid Pro among the hullabaloo of the Droid Pro pre-order sales. Verizon has now made the Motorola Droid Pro available at its stores.

The Verizon outlets across the country have started stocking the Droid Pro units for those who didn’t make it up in the pre-order period. This Android 2.2 Froyo device is available at its online showroom also. Here it is actually priced at $279.99, but Verizon is giving it away at $179.99 with a $100 mail-in-rebate.

However, for getting the brand new Motorola Droid Pro for this price you will have to sign a two year contract and a data package. This seems to be the same for those who pick the Droid Pro from the Verizon outlets also.

There is no difference in the price between new customers and existing customers.  Both need to have a new contract of two year duration to get the phone.

Just to remind you on the major specs of this device, the Droid Pro comes with a 3.1 inch HVGA display and QWERTY keyboard. TIOMAP 1GHz processor with dedicated GPU coupled with 2GB internal memory makes it one of the fastest phones available with Verizon. Moreover, it sports a 5MP camera with DVD-D1 video capture functionality.
