The Archos 101 Android tablet is now shipping and it is having an attractive price tag of $300. The device, which was spotted back in August, comes with a lot of features including a large, high resolution 10.1-inch capacitive touchscreen.

The big screen is having a resolution of 1024×600 and the tablet is powerful enough to play 720p video. The device also comes equipped with HDMI out, 802.11n WiFi and a front facing camera aimed at video chat.

The device also has a microSD card slot for expanding the storage capacity and you can customize your device by downloading your favorite Android applications from AppsLib.

But the greatest drawback is that the device does not come with Android Market, but the company has preloaded the device with some good apps. The device runs Android 2.1, but the company has promised that an update to Froyo is coming as soon as the end of this month.

If you do not have the need for the big screen, you can try the 7-inch Archos 70.

So, do you want to get the tablet for yourself? Still deciding? You can learn more about the tablet at the company’s website. Check it out here. And you are free to place your comments in the box below.
