Microsoft Windows Phone 7 Lands in US; Comes on Samsung Focus, HTC Surround & LG Quantum on AT&T, HTC HD7 on T-Mobile

If you would remember, Microsoft was gearing up to bring on its Windows Phone 7 in the US on November 8. The date has finally come and so has Win Phone 7. The OS had been rolled out a coupe of weeks ago in the European market, and it is now the turn of US to relish the smartphone operating software.

The OS comes riding on handsets of the likes of Samsung Focus, HTC Surround and LG Quantum on AT&T, and the HTC HD7 on T-Mobile . US customers can now flaunt their new Microsoft OS on their favorite phones.

The four smartphones that will have the new OS are currently ones that are GSM capable. That means the wait for a CDMA phone with Windows Phone 7 continues for some more time now. Maybe Verizon and Sprint would soon have on their network CDMA phones that would run the new OS.
