Skyfire Flash Videos Friendly iOS Browser App Pleases Fanatics and Then Gets ‘Sold Out’!

November 4, 2010, By Atul Roach

A lot of iOS users were over the moon for they could finally watch Flash videos on their Apple gadgets courtesy of the Skyfire browser app which surfaced a couple of days back, but something seems to have gone wrong with the Flash videos friendly browser. The application went missing from the iTunes store quoting technical faults and that happened on a global level.

Skyfire won the Apple approval before making it to the iTunes, which of course is customary, but then the browser has disappeared all of a sudden. What is more is that the application is no longer available in countries like Greece, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Spain and the UK.

As far as the US is concerned, the Skyfire browser application costing $2.99 has been sold out. Now how on earth can a digital app be sold out and that too after becoming the top grossing app in the iTunes App Store.

This is where I utterly dislike Apple as a brand which is adamant to shun Flash, without really being bothered about the preferences of people who buy Apple branded gadgets. How can Apple even think that we people will not understand why Skyfire disappeared all of a sudden.

All I got to say is ‘hail Android’ and thank goodness I posses a Galaxy S and not an iPhone 4. In case you have any doubts on Skyfire running Flash Videos on iOS, the video beneath is a confirmation.
