Best Buy Announces Pre Black Friday 2010 Deals, Beats Walmart By One Day

November 4, 2010, By Alex Ion

In an effort to stay one step ahead of competition, Best Buy is trying to lure early holiday shoppers with their new “Shop Early, Save Big” program that launches tomorrow and lasts until Saturday; November 5  to November 6.

The company’s pre Black Friday deals are, most likely (considering that they’re beating them by one day), directly taking on Walmart who have announced the “Amazing Walmart Electronics Event” for this weekend; Saturday and Sunday.

According to their press release, Best Buy will offer discounted prices on products brands that include Samsung, Sony, Verizon Wireless and Insignia, among others.

“We know that customers are looking to get a jump start on their holiday shopping,” said Drew Panayiotou, senior vice president U.S. marketing for Best Buy.

“By offering them the opportunity to save on the latest and greatest technology gifts now and throughout holiday, we’re reinforcing our commitment to provide an unmatched shopping experience both in-store and online this season with some of the best prices in the industry,” he added.

Unlike Walmart, Best Buy will offer an exclusive eMachines Laptop with AMD V-Series Processor for $280 (a similar model costs $288 on Walmart). Among other deals we’ve spotted a Dynex 32″ Class 720p 60Hz LCD HDTV  for $259.99), a Blu-ray player from Samsung for $120 and the HTC DROID Incredible on Verizon for $100. Which are rather neat!

In case you’re not lucky on Friday or Saturday, remember that Best Buy’s “Shop Early, Save Big” pre Black Friday deals will also continue the weekend on November 11-12.
