Dragon Age comes to Facebook with Dragon Age Legends [UPDATE]

November 3, 2010, By Christian Davis

You can almost be certain that there will be a Facebook game for each block buster title that’s coming out. Red Dead Redemption has one, Assassin’s Creed has one, Crackdown 2 has one, and now Bioware’s game, Dragon Age has one.

This play for free Facebook game expands on the Dragon Age franchise and lets gamers dive deeper into the world of Dragon Age 2 called Free Marches.

The new game is inspired by the award-winning BioWare franchise but custom-designed for the casual and social play style for Facebook users of all ages. Dragon Age Legends blends accessible and engaging tactical combat with compelling co-operative gameplay perfectly suited for social networks, making for a unique offering on the platform.

The cool this about this is what is mentioned above, the “engaging and tactical combat.” Most Facebook games are merely point and click games that take hours of your life away. Maybe this one will play more like a Maple Story game and allow us to control our characters and fight for them rather than just upgrade stats and hope they do good. This definitely be a lot of fun and if you’re still not convinced, you can earn special unlocks in Dragon Age 2 by playing Dragon Age Legends.

Dragon Age Legends  launches on Facebook in February of 2011.

UPDATE: Here’s a few images of what the game should look like.
