Samsung GT-i9010 Nexus Two at FCC?

October 29, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

A new Samsung phone with the model number GT-i9010 has been spotted in the FCC listings. Although there is no official confirmation, the new device is thought to be the Nexus Two handset.

One of the major rumors about Nexus Two is that it is a Galaxy S phone. The Galaxy S phone had a similar model number like the one now spotted at FCC. The international version of the Galaxy S was called GT-i9000. This time, the new phone is GT-i9010. Putting everything together, the new phone which paid a visit to the FCC might actually be the Nexus Two.

Samsung submitted the FCC documents on October 28th. So we are expecting more details to emerge as time moves on.

Meanwhile, a document spotted at Wi-Fi alliance shows a Samsung phone with the same model number and the device has successfully completed the Wi-Fi alliance interoperability testing. The device is categorized as a smartphone with WiFi and Cellular modes.

There are also unconfirmed reports that the model spotted at FCC is not the Nexus Two, but some other Galaxy S phone. The informer says that the Nexus Two sports a 1.2 GHz processor and is more attractive than the Galaxy S in its design.

However, if these rumors are anything to count on, our curious readers need not wait longer because another rumor puts the launch date of the Nexus Two as closer as November 8. However, official sources have not confirmed it yet.
