Bell Mobility LG Optimus Quantum Launch on Nov 8

Bell Mobility will be launching the LG Optimus Quantum smartphone, with Windows Phone 7 operating system, on November 8. When launched, the device will be the only WP7 handset with a full slide-out keyboard and touchscreen interface in the Canadian market.

The LG Optimus Quantum is a full-QWERTY device with a 3.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 480×800. The device comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video recording, and measures in at 4.70 x 2.34 x 0.60 inches and weighs 176g.

The device has 16GB of internal storage, 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM, and provides DLNA support. It also comes with WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 and GPS. A 1500mAh battery (that offers 6 hours of Talk time and 350 hours of Stand-by time) is also included into the package.

The full-retail price is listed as $449.95 without subsidies. It has been reported that the device will go for around $100 with a 3-year contract.
