PalmPad Tablet in the Works; iPad Rival to Accompany Palm Pre 2 & Other Devices

The rumors about a new Palm tablet have been running around the web for quite sometime. Now, a new rumor is suggesting that the tablet might be coming sometime soon. The new info has revealed that the PalmPad tablet may be joining the Palm Pre 2 alongside a collection of other devices, and all of these devices will reportedly go on sale in 2011.

According to an article from BGR, who have obtained the latest info from The Taiwan Economic Times, the Chinese manufacturing giants Foxconn and Compal were recently awarded new contracts for a total of five to six new Palm-branded devices.

Among these devices is the rumored PalmPad which is a webOS powered tablet and is expected to become a great rival to the Apple iPad, the BlackBerry PlayBook and a lot of Android tablets currently available in the market.

This new info is sure to bring thoughts into the minds of all the tech fans, about just what devices we could see if up to six different form factors hit the shelves next year.
