Nokia C5-03 Symbian Touchscreen Phone Hits the FCC; Lacks US 3G

The Nokia C5-03, which was announced earlier this month as the latest Symbian touchscreen phone, has visited the FCC and has got approval. But the bad news is that the device does not feature North American 3G.

Since it lacks US 3G, those of you who are planning to get the device and use it stateside will have to satisfy with GSM/GPRS/EDGE.

You might know all the specs of the device. Just to remind you, the C5-03 features a 3.2 inch resistive touchscreen display with a resolution of 360 x 640, WiFi, A-GPS, free navigation (via Ovi Maps) and a 3.5mm headset jack.

The device also comes equipped with a 5 megapixel camera and has 40MB of user memory. The device also provides microSD card support for up to 16GB. The handset runs Symbian^1, although Nokia wants us to say just Symbian from now on.

The phone will be available at the end of the quarter for EUR170 ($240).
