BlackBerry Bold 9780 Release Date finally made official by RIM: To be available starting November 19 on T-Mobile for $130

There is little surprise in the news here. We knew this was coming. It was just a matter of when RIM would come out and make it official. When you already have a well-placed leak from T-Mobile with the BlackBerry Bold 9780 sales ad already out, it was just a matter of getting past the formalities. The BlackBerry 9780 is indeed now official and RIM has revealed that it would be available from November 17 at T-Mobile stores. What is new though is the price tag info as we now have that too.

Considering that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is not all that different from its predecessor the 9700 except in the BlackBerry 6 OS and the 512 MB RAM on the inside and the new glossy jet black appearance on the outside, the 9780 seems pretty fairly priced, We did say that since it was nothing revolutionary you would not be charged the $199 on contract. But there is now way T-Mobile was giving it away for a $100 contract.

So we have what lies somewhere in between. The $129.99 is probably right and that is offered along with a two-year contract. The other features of the Bold 9780 include a 5 megapixel camera, a QWERTY keyboard and the 2.44 inch HVGA+ display (480 x 360). Anyone interested in the BlackBerry Bold 9780 for $130?
