T-Mobile LG Optimus T is the Cheapest of Android Phones Around, Costs $29.99 with Commitment

T-Mobile has a plethora of top-notch Android smartphones which are already being sold through various channels and there are some more attractions to arrive. One of those upcoming attractions is the LG Optimus T, though it does not belong to the top-notch lineage we are accustomed to seeing from this big-time US carrier.

Ironically, Optimus T takes the cake for being the cheapest Android OS powered cellphone being sold by T-Mobile in the US. It may ‘also’ be the cheapest Android handsets to have ever arrived in the market, if not the cheapest already.

Just to make you feel more assured, this handset costs $29.99 with a two-year commitment and that too after a $50 mail-in-rebate in place. For all that ‘nothingness’ you get blessed with- Android 2.2 Froyo, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display and a 3.2 megapixel camera.

Call it the cheapest or whatever, it still runs Froyo while I am managing my Galaxy S beauty with the Eclair. For that price sticker, i’ll take a Froyo device any day, especially when you consider it can put my Galaxy S to shame.
