Samsung has added one more device to their e-book reader line up for UK customers by launching the Samsung E65 eReader in the UK. Now available with Pixmania for £213 ($336), it will soon hit PC world and Currys shelves for £199.99 ($316). Looking identical to the Kindle from Amazon, the E65 is claimed to provide a faster performance than other eReaders.

The E65, which boasts the 667 MHz ARM processor, is claimed to start its show in 12 seconds compared to 30 seconds taken by similar devices. Capable of giving instant access to a maximum of 1400 books in its 2GB flash memory, it gives the option to extend it up to 16 GB.

With a 6 inch E-ink display, at 600×800 resolutions, it has a viewing angle of up to 180°. It has a USB 2.0 port and a microSD card slot. It weighs a mere 244 g in full armour (with battery) and supports a range of text formats like ePub, pdf and txt.

In order to handle the pdf documents proficiently, the E65 comes integrated with Adobe Reader Mobile software. The integrated audio player extends support to mp3 format as well as contributing to the crystal-clear text-to speech functionality of the device.

The WiFi enabled E65 e-book reader adds to the mobility of the users by offering the functionality to download e-books directly to the reader, without using a PC.
