GreenPois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Open Source Release to happen very soon: You could be a part of the iPhone/iPad/Apple TV unlocking phenomenon

October 25, 2010, By Shawn Wagnon

The Chronic Dev Team has come out and made it now official. The Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 will be soon available for Open Source development. The much-talked about iOS 4.1 Jailbreak in recent times, Greenpois0n’s version of the jailbreak will be out for developers from the public to tap into very soon. That is obviously great news for anyone who wishes to not just know what exactly lay behind the jailbreak, but also feel that they could contribute to the jailbreak. Open Source should generate huge interest from developers worldwide!

That said, the exact date of the Greenpois0n iOS 4.1 going Open Source is still not confirmed. It is supposed to happen very soon though; as the news was informed by one of the Chronic Dev Team members on Twitter. Once the main release moves out of the present Beta version, it should be immediately available for open source development.

Will this mean further development of the iOS 4.1 jailbreak? One surely hopes so with more developers adding further elements to it and probably tweaking some of the elements to suit your own personal needs. So, will you be contributing to the open source development of Greenpois0n iOS 4.1? Well, one way or another, we will sure be interested in what ‘open source’ throws up…
