Medal Of Honor Ropes in $100 Million in Sales for the first week: Electronic Arts seems elated!

So have you tried Medal of Honor yet? The opinion on the game seems to be pretty polarized at this point. Some like it, but many others have not taken too kindly to the shooter. Well, no matter what your opinion on it is, it seems to have done decently well when it comes to earning some green for EA. Electronic Arts has revealed that Medal of Honor has indeed made $100 million in the first week of its release.

Not the numbers that would challenge Halo: Reach or Call of Duty: Modern warfare, but we never expected that anyway. The game though seems to have done pretty well, as initially, most seemed to believe that it is a copied version of Modern Warfare with shades of Bad Company thrown in. Between that and the fact that many out there might be saving their cash waiting Call of Duty: Black Ops, the $100 million does not sound bad one bit.

With Treyarch already declaring in a press conference last month that Call of Duty: Black Ops will surpass the sales Modern Warfare (and it should with ease), expect Medal of Honor to quickly fall back in line.

But before that happens maybe you might be tempted to give it a try… So that you can warm yourself up for Black Ops!
