New 11.6-inch MacBook Air now official & Available: Specs, Features, Price and More!

The new MacBook Air 11.6-inch Laptop is finally here. With the official announcement now out of the way ( we knew this was coming since sometime), it is time to dig into the smaller of the two MacBook Air models that Steve Jobs just presented. (13-3 inch Air being the other). The basic version of the 11.6-inch MacBook Air will cost you $999. That will be the price tag of 11.6-inch 64GB version of the Air. The 128GB version sees you paying $1,199.

There is no doubt that this version of the Air will be pretty popular as it will not only give the portability option, but should make people who opt for the iPad give a tad bit of thought about maybe buying a MacBook Air. The $999 price should be added bait.

Here are the complete Specs and Features of the 11.6-inch MacBook Air:

  • 11.6-inch LED-backlit display with 1366 x 768 native resolution
  • 1.4GHz Core 2 Duo Processor with optional 1.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
  • NVIDIA GeForce 320m graphics card with 256MB of DDR3 RAM
  • Dual display and video mirroring
  • 2GB RAM is the default spec. But it can go up to 4GB RAM
  • 64GB ($999) or 128GB($1,199) SSD storage space

  • Thinness: between 0.68- and 0.11-inches and weighs 2.3-pounds
  • 802.11n Wi-Fi
