Sony Ericsson has introduced the S006 Smartphone from KDDI, a device which is aimed at people who think that more is better.

The device comes equipped with an impressive 16.2-megapixel CMOS sensor. Although the camera may not deliver performance that can be equivalent to a good DSLR, it can definitely offer a better imaging experience when compared to other camera phones.

The S006 has the ability to achieve ISO 12800 and also has a proprietary Exmor R image engine. The phone, which comes with a Sony Ericsson operating system, runs on a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The device is also equipped with an integrated FM tuner and GPS navigation. The connectivity options of the phone include WiFi and Bluetooth, and the device has a 3.3-inch display with VGA resolution.

No details have been announced by the company about the pricing of the exclusive device which will only be available for the KDDI customers by spring of 2011. The company has decided to launch the device initially in the Japanese markets, while the rest of the world will have to wait for sometime to get hold of the device.
