HP has finally made official the Palm Pre 2 along with the long over-due HP webOS 2.0, which should see quite a few improvements for Palm Pre users in the immediate future. So what does Palm Pre 2 and HP webOS 2.0 have in store for us? Dig in, to find out the detailed specs of Palm Pre 2 along with a video that gives you an early demo of webOS 2.0…

The new HP webOS 2.0 promises enhanced multitasking features such as the new Stacks feature, which groups together your open applications and Just Type, which makes your emailing and texting a lot more easier on Palm Pre 2. Then there is HP Synergy that links your email and social networking accounts and of course Skype Mobile for Verizon users, which allows them to both text and make Skype-to-Skype calls.

To add to all that will be features like text assist, integrated Quickoffice, VPN support, a redesigned launcher and a full support for Bluetooth keyboards, SPP peripherals and a new Favorites tagging option. All this makes the wait for HP webOS 2.0 worthwhile indeed.

As far as the Palm Pre 2 goes (which will be the first mobile to be out on HP webOS 2.0), expect to find a 3.1-inch multi-touch screen with a vibrant 24-bit color, 320 x 480 HVGA display, slide-out QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, Direct Push Technology, POP3 / IMAP, GPS, Wi-Fi, accelerometer, ambient light and a 1GHz CPU on the inside.

Palm Pre 2 is set to hit stores in France on October 22 and will come to US on Verizon in a month or two. No doubt, many will be waiting!
