October 19, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Dell has unveiled the Dell Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition laptop and it features a premium aluminum finish with a laser-etched Alloy Waves design.

If you are interested in buying the Inspiron 15R Alloy Edition, you can expect the usual choice of Core i3, i5 or i7 processors, a 15.6-inch display with a resolution of 1,366 x 768 and integrated Intel graphics or an optional ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650.

You will also be getting up to 8GB of RAM, and up to a 750GB hard drive which can store up to 90 hours of Hi-def video. You can choose a 9-cell battery, which provides up to 7 hours and 58 minutes of battery life, or the standard 6-cell battery with up to 4 hours and 02 minutes of power.

While the alloy part of the laptop is not bad, the device is unfortunately available only in a “waves” pattern. The company has not yet given out the starting price and release date of the device. Dell is expected to come out with an official confirmation soon.

Will you get the device when it arrives sometime in the future? Are you interested in the “waves” design or do you prefer some other pattern. Let us know your thoughts on it.
