AMD Radeon HD 6870 & HD 6850 Video Cards Appear on Video and in Pictures

Folks from AMD were supposed to bring out their new Radeon HD 6870 and Radeon HD 6850 video cards this week, but so far, we’re only seeing a video and a bunch of official images with the two little monsters. We can’t really blame AMD for this perfectly orchestrated teasing, as the official presentation is supposedly scheduled for Friday, but in all honesty, but in all honesty, it’s quite hard waiting for them to actually see the day of light.

For now we don’t have much regarding specs, but looking up closely we found out that there are no less than five ports, including two DVI, one HDMI (1.4a), and two Mini DisplayPorts. Other things noticed, the AMD Radeon HD 6870 seems to be powered by two 6-pin connectors to better deal with everything it gets from the PCI Express port. On the other hand the Radeon HD 6850 is less demanding, it only needs one 6-pin connector.

Check out the gallery and the video below, and prepare some green if you want them to power the graphics for your computer.
