Sprint BlackBerry Style 9670 to hit stores on Halloween: Specs and features detailed

October 18, 2010, By Shawn Wagnon

Sprint and Research in Motion announced the launch of the rare flip Smartphone BlackBerry Style 9670 and it is set to make its debut this Halloween. The chubby-looking flip phone comes with a full QWERTY keyboard and will be the first Sprint mobile to carry BlackBerry 6 inside. Sporting a style that seems a bit nostalgic than futuristic the Style 9670 has a 320 x 240 screen on the outside which turns into a 360 x 400 screen when flipped open.

BlackBerry 6 is compatible with the trackpad of Style 9670 as it is with the touch screen and brings in rich multimedia features to Sprint users for the very first time. Supporting Sprint’s 3G CDMA network, the Style 9670 offers GPS, 3.5 mm stereo handset jack, MicroSD memory card slot, 512MB RAM, 8GB card and Qualcomm 7500 series processor.

There is also a 5 Megapixel camera which should sufficiently satisfy the shutter needs of BlackBerry boys. The strength of the handset, like in the case of every other BlackBerry device, is its easy texting and emailing options and the keypad which allow for the same. With a 2-year contract from Sprint you can get the BlackBerry Style 9670 for$99 along with monthly charges, depending on your data plan.

If you are a Sprint user, a BlackBerry fan and are gaga about ‘Clam Shell’ models, then this is the one for you!
