Motorola Droid 2 Global Surfaces in Verizon Employee Training System

October 15, 2010, By Sanjeev Ramachandran

Earlier, we have seen the Droid 2 Global handset when it appeared in Verizon’s inventory. Now, the device has resurfaced in the carrier’s employee training system.

The Droid 2 Global was initially noticed alongside the Droid Pro. Later on, we saw the Droid Pro coming out and the device turned out to be a global handset. This caused a lot of confusion and some though that the Droid 2 Global was not going to be a reality. But the new leak suggests that the device might be coming sometime soon.

The Droid 2 Global is expected to be a global version of the Droid 2 Slider, with Android 2.2 “Froyo” and quad-band GSM support. The leaked specs of the device suggest that it will be coming equipped with a 1.2 GHz CPU and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash. It will also have 8GB of integrated storage.

Like the Droid Pro, the Droid 2 Global is said to be aimed at business customers. The handset has not been officially unveiled by Motorola and the specs are also unconfirmed.

There might be an official confirmation coming from the company sometime in the near future. So stay tuned.
